Pre-weddings in May

Hi all!

Thanks for stopping by and reading our wedding journal! As you can see our 2010 entires are not filled yet as we are working on our first 2010 couple!

The reason for the delay was we had taken a total of 18 commissions from the month of Dec to 7 February 2010. This was taken a toll on our time we need to spend time editing our "hand crafted" images.

As a protective measure to our new clients in May 2010, our next peak period, we will not be commissioning any more pre-wedding shoots in May ( both short or long ones) as I intend to stick with our delivery timelines as Our Time Lines will exceed 60 days from our current 30 -45 days.

We hope to serve everyone better and encourage all couples to take their pre-wedding shoot either in April or June 2010. As a token of appreciation to our pre-wedding clients, I will personally extend every client that takes our pre-wedding plans 1,2 or 3 extra 1 hour coverage as measure of goodwill if anyone take their pre-wedding in April 2010. This offer will be extended to our current clients and we will inform you shortly via email.

out of Town Notice (again)

Alyce and I will be out of town for a short break from 24th April to 27th April. Meetings are still available on Mondays to Wednesdays from 2pm to 10pm via appointments only. See you around folks!

Out of Town Notice

Prices over the phone

I always looked upon working in the creative industry at the age of 14 onwards, all my aspirations and dreams all leaned towards it! Today I still look upon myself as an artist and that continues to push my work every other wedding I worked on.

As many would know, wedding photography has so many niches and so many deliverables to cover. We have a grand total of 6 types of albums to purchase and with pre-wedding kicking in, there are just so many products to quote you.

I find it rather offensive for anyone over the phone to insist I quote you for prices. How do I quote you for anything if I do not understand your needs? Our rate card has over 5 pages and covers from engagements to pre-weddings to even frames! If you just want to find out our prices, please drop a mail to info@gilbertchua.com and my assistant will gladly reply as soon as they are available.

I understand all couples have a budget to work around with, and let me assure you that we are trying our means to price ourselves comfortably to serve around 40 couples a year. It takes us 40-80 man hours to process your editing after your wedding. Thank you for your kind understanding!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

today is the 1st assignment of my new year! Its also the 1st assignment after my wedding! I feel so refresh and now knew how it feels like to be the other side of the wedding, although I was busy shooting my own wedding as well, hee hee! I post pictures a little later even though we have already collected our films and edited our pictures.

I would like to take a opportunity to thank all my wonderful and great clients I had for the year 2007. You made me choose this great and amazing career and I have never once look back ever since! I had made quite alot of great friends in this journey. Special thanks to all the wonderful people at WPN, Esp Kuang, Eadwine, Grabiel, Yang, Kelvin, Wansheng and KC! You made me feel so welcome and great to work alongside with some of the most talented photographers & videographers around! Thanks to Eng Hong, I know my wedding photos will be in good hands!

Once again, onwards to 2008, clients will have a added treat as we have upgraded some gear and I have started to work upscale towards refining my thoughts and feeling towards my photography and hopefully everyone will be treated to a higher refinement of my craft.

Its 5am and I'm ready to go, new tools, thoughts and the excited feeling, the same excitement when I first push the shutter from my camera 8 years ago!

After scouring the last 10 months files and selecting and reslecting the pictures, working out the flash files, the updated website is finally happening. We hope the current portfolio will strengthen our range and wedding clients, a more vested interest in our work! Enjoy!
