Be an artist or whore

what to do when you have requests that make change your work so drastically that its not yours anymore, would you do it to please your client or refuse to do it as you are an artist and have artistic integrity?

I'd protect my integrity because selling out and being forced to be someone else is not only bad for you but bad for your clients as they wouldn't be getting your true artistic vision.
