Ron and Catherine in Bintan

Simon and myself when to Bintan on May to document the wedding of Ron & Catherine! We started our day early at Ferry Terminal, boarding a fast craft to Bintan, Indonesia. From there we were ferried to Banyan Tree Resort by car alongside Shuan, the Makeup Artist!

Its was a hot and beautiful day to say the least, we started working on the couple whom was already there the day before and we captured Catherine makeup process and Ron's excited emotions. These couple had great taste in their style of outfits, Ron paired his causal linen suit effortlessly with a nice pink shirt and a beige Camper shoes. Catherine had her beautiful gown made by Silhouette, a Greek inspired Toga dress!

We had a little time for some bridal shoots and later we spit up to await for Ron and his brothers to come pick up the bride. The Ragging session games was saucy by my standards! Lots of games involves kissing, eating off parts, wow!

The rain put on a damper for the couple as they were worried that their beach wedding may be changed but as I always feel, if you do good, you have good karma and luckily the rain passed on after 2 hours!

In the late afternoon, we were treated with a cosy solemnization at the beach with lots of onlookers and my favourite part was the symbolic releasing of doves. I thing Simon and I were caught by surprises the entire day!

Fireworks ensured and I could really see Ron and Cat enjoying their wedding with dances and lots of booze and smiles! Great effort to the brothers and sisters of both Ron and Catherine ensured everything was in order!

Thank you guys for allowing us to be part of this wedding celebration! I hope you would pick up the pictures by later this evening and reliving the moments of your wedding! We sure did have fun as well! Hope to see you guys soon! Happy Marriage!

10 things that I love!

These are the things that make me sing!

10) Paul Smith esp Red Ear stuff , after a short 12 year hibiscus from 16 yrs old, i have amassed a few more pieces in my wardrobe. Simon, my associate and Bryan knows my obsession with all things old, vintage and cool looking. Mr Paul Smith, if you are reading my blog, all my retirement funds have been relocated to yours.

9) Mac Computers, our work stations are cool to look at and fun to work with. Still the same, we have added more workstations to the growing influx of work.
8) Flea Markets, Alyce and myself, we can spend the entire sunday shopping, looking at stuff, once in a while.
7) Mechanical German designed Time Pieces, need I say more Lange, GO, just pure lust. PAMs are always in my cards for the old world military looks, all my friends say I was born in the wrong era, I unbashfully agree. Mechanical German made cameras are also nice but one can only afford 1 luxury once awhile.
6) Super markets, All my overseas clients know about it, I need to shop at least 10 times a week, haha!

5) Travelling, its a little harder with The Little One, but we are planning trips to Bali, Australia, KL and Japan in the pipeline.
4) Sleep, I getting very little of it the last year or so, work just consumes me.
3) Bookstores. Another luxury. I just spent an hour at Kinokoniya on Tuesday and its was the most refreshing moment of my life for the last month. I wish I can afford a huge office to store my books!
2) Clients, i only work with clients that understand our work, cannot live without you guys, thanks to you I'm always in the state of love, joy and happiness!
1) My Sweetheart, Alyce, this year a newborn creep into our lives and rob our hearts as well, Hayden thanks to you, daddy has to work harder but also happier and you gave us the glow in our hearts. We love you, grow well!

Its great to read my blog entries again and refresh my thoughts and works. I'm growing up to love this more and more and I still think its the coolest job, if you call a job. Please continue this journey with me and watch my growth and art and I hope to be able to document an aspect of your lives someday!

I also take this chance to thank Minda, Kenji, Caroline, Rebecca, Dang, Daphane, Margaret, and many others whom helped us grow our small company up! Thanks Simon sticking with me, Tom for all your encouragement, Byran for your help. Thanks Kuang for opening the doors to this great journey! Thank you all at WPN as well, I love you guys!

Now back to work!

Peng Wai & Tanny

I started the day at Tanny's mother house, which is the same estate, The Pinnacle @ Duxton as their own home, they live 2 blocks and a few floors apart!

As IPPT is an important aspect of all the brother's lives, they are tested to the limits for this ragging session!
Shutter Run

Standing Broad Jump, I wish mine had team effort as well!

This guy can do 200 sit-ups in a minute!

Getting the key is no mean feat!

Getting on the mini, its a very short ride!

Peng Wai showing everyone around the house.

 Back to The Pinnacle

And on the top of 50 floors!

At the Fullerton, Tanny discovers the hand-made bouquet had fallen apart and attempts to fix it back.

 Fixed and ready to use!

 Doing the final touchup

I like the matching red packet and shirt combination!

 And the wedding shoes

At the reception, its was a buzz and everyone is in time for the lunch reception. I had some time to cover the reception which is a rarity these days as the timing is often crush with the bride getting ready.

Pengwai & Tanny making their way back to change to the next outfit.

A fun shot with both the faces covered by their portraits.

It was a great time with the families and friends for the wedding reception! Thanks Tanny & Pengwai for making it happen and we hope to see you soon!
