Glen & Pearlyne

There is a special bond between Glen & Pearlyne the first time I saw them together. Their love is a special bond as they met each other at church. What is interesting is that both attend different mass (one english and the other chinese) haha!

We witness a fun ragging session in the morning, where the dudes needed to "work" their domestic skills to win the hearts of the "sisters" to allow them in. Inside Glen and Co had to prove his wits and sense to complete the puzzle Pearlyne setup for them.

What was memorable for me at least was Pearlyne is actually a piano teacher and they have a grand piano at home, situated in one of the rooms. We hear that Pearlyne always plays for Glen. No wonder Glen had to return the favour by singing for Pearlyne and in front of all their wedding guests in the Grand Copthorne Hotel.

Yang and myself had a great time documenting the wedding as usual. When the weather turn for the worst suddenly, we turned it into a drama shoot for Pearlyne!

Durians

You know, in the fruit store, you get to see alot of interesting people. Once Alyce and myself wanted One durian for supper. If you are a durian or fresh food person, you know the best stuff comes when they open the durian right in front of you.

When I was at the durian store, its was late and the durian seller had lots of durian he opened up and kept in boxes. He was selling them at a discount of 3 boxes for $20. The unopened ones are at $10 per fruit.

The fruit seller was trying to pursude us to get the open boxed durians "at a discount" at $20, twice more durians than we wanted at additional $10. We kept insisting we just ones the unopened ones and we only need one durian as we are unable to finish the other 2 boxes.

We are like that, we know what we want and a discount will not tempt us as we end up spending more money but we do not need the extras. We aren't greedy and calculative and the durian seller failed at pushing us his unsold wares.

We end up going to another durian store instead and spend $15 at one better durian. We fail to understand the logic of wanting more when you do not need to. Sometimes the real value of money is getting a better product not getting the most of the product.

Thanks for your patience while we clear the work. Just a side note, I actually ran out of memory space and had to visit my friendly sim lim shopping centre to buy more hard disk.

education for the kids

While shooting Gary & Allison's pre wedding at the Changi Boardwalk, some kindergarden kids (with their teachers) stumble upon us doing our Bridals. At first they are busy learning the sights and sounds of a nature park but could not peel their eyes away from us. We also could not resist not having a group shot with them, like what Kelvin (from Lighted Pixels) would say, Lets work the crowd!

wedding of Brian & Janice

I love the bond we develop between our couples, especially when we also have taken their bridal shots. It gives us a more intimate relationship of closeness and knowing that we feel very closely to their celebrations and watching a part of their story of their lives in making is such an experience. Thanks Janice and Brian, your kind hearts and heartfelt celebrations makes my job so much more in returns when we feel for all your friendship! Thanks to Wayne for taking care of us the entire day as well!
